2024 Summer Programs
Summer study is integral to the advancement of a student’s ballet training and our programs are designed to develop their technique, artistry, focus, and creativity in a fun, healthy, and encouraging environment.

Classic Ballet Stories
ages 4–8
This program is a way for our younger students to learn about the famous story ballets in a fun, creative, and meaningful way. The daily syllabus will include a 45-minute ballet class, a short snack break, then an hour classic ballet story with craft project, including an improvisation dance scene from the story, using props and classic ballet music. There will be a small showcase at the end of each week.

July Intensive Summer Program
Ages 9+
Students will have the opportunity to take classes in ballet, pointe, repertory, variations, modern, stretch and improvisation from preeminent teachers at ASB, as well as guest teachers. We have a full and exciting scheduled planned for all participants. Each week will include a self-contained curriculum followed by a showcase on Fridays for our afternoon program. Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

MASTERCLASS week
ages 11+
This one-week intensive provides the serious student with insight and inspiration from former and current professional dancers. Master classes are an excellent way to make breakthroughs in your understanding of the art form, to grow both technically and artistically, and to approach fall ballet with confidence.

INTRO TO POINTE/
POINTE REFRESHER
For rising level 5’s and 6’s to take a 45-minute introduction to pointe, or pointe-refresher. Students beginning pointe must pass the pointe exam by the end of the Spring 2020 term. All students must attend the Open Class that day in advance to be warm for pointe work. Students who are new to pointe should purchase their shoes in advance and have them approved by the teacher before this program begins so that they are ready to start on the first day.
